More and more financial organizations see the value of educating their advisors about long term care planning, so these professionals can better serve an aging client base.
One of these forward-thinking organizations is Mackenzie Financial. As the result of working with Mackenzie at their regional conferences across Canada in 2006, Karen was interviewed for the cover story of the January issue of The Mackenzie Professional. The entire January issue can be read or downloaded here.
Alzheimer Disease: The writing is on the wall – and in the press.
On January 25, 2007 the Toronto Star published a special section on Alzheimer Disease. Because of her 14-year care journey with her father who suffered from both vascular dementia and Alzheimer Disease, the Star called Karen to interview her and to request a personal story for the issue.
If you miss the print issue, read the on-line content associated with the special section.
The January 2007 issue of The Insurance Journal also featured a brief article about the effects of Alzheimer Disease on a family’s finances and the role and value of living benefits products.
